There seems to be something inside each person that drives us to be
successful. But what is success? Is success money? Riches? Fame? Cars?
Position? Power? Prestige? Status symbolizes? Relationships? Even our
constitution admits that our creator designed us to have the right to
pursue happiness.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of
Happiness.”

            This world is full of people that have all of those things,
prestige, wealth, mansions, fame and are still fighting constant
depression, unhappiness and some have committed suicide. Every person in
this world at some point has gotten “stuck.” On their way to success
and happiness, they are stuck.

            Years ago I described my life like this: I am in my very
powerful car and the engine is revving and the tires are spinning and it
really sounds like I am going somewhere. But when I look out my side
window, I see that I am not really going anywhere. Nothing is going by,
nothing is changing. I can get out of my car and walk around it and
analyze the situation and come to the correct analysis: I am stuck in
the mud. Yep my engine is revving and my tires are spinning but I am
going nowhere. I am stuck in the mud. How do I get out of this
situation?

            Many people are stuck in the mud in different ways. One way
for me was anger. Every time a friend of mine called me “Bro,” I wanted
to deck him. I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and
it was extremely difficult to not punch him.

            Others have the “boss problem.” I was in the corporate world
for twenty years and had the boss that dangled carrots in front of
workers promising them promotions if they would just do this or that and
they would work 100 hours a week for years trying to get the
promotion and never receive it. I worked extremely hard for one
reporting period, doing EVERYTHING my boss requested and expected to get
a raise and did not receive any raise at all, not even a cost of living
increase. But I learned, not only did I get a raise but I received the
only promotion that boss EVER signed for anyone.

            Others are stuck in their home life where each and every day
it is a battle with their spouse or the kids or their kids are battling
each other and all they can do to solve the situation is go to DE
taunt; neutral corners and never speak or relate to each other until
they just become roommates that tolerate each other at best or at worst,
divorce. But I had a guy at work watch me for 2 years and at the end of
that time come to me and ask if I would help him with the relationship
with his wife. He said he was impressed with the relationship I have
with my wife and he wanted me to teach him how to relate to his wife
like I do with mine. I have had others come to me and say the same
thing, so I helped them.

            A family member was on the edge of divorce telling me he had
no idea what to do. He was going to lose his wife. So I spent time with
him and it is now said by family members that that marriage is intact
today because of the time I spent with him.

            I have 9 children and if you think a couple of kids can
create sibling rivalry and discontentment among the children, try
raising 6 boys and 3 girls. I had some kids admit that they were
actually mean to their sibling and while they still live in the same
house, they have become good friends. I had a son and a daughter that
fought and actually could not stand each other but while living in the
same house, they became best friends and remain so today.

I have had our house burn to the ground while my wife was pregnant with our 9th
child only to find during the chaos of no home and no work because of
the fire, our 9th child had down’s syndrome and neither the fire nor the
news of our child, drove a wedge between my wife and I.

I was laid off many times during my 20 years in the corporate world and
went as long as 9 months without work and down to no money to put gas in
the tank of our car so that I could go to a job interview. How was I able to put gas in the tank of the car so that interview actually landed me a 30% pay increase from my previous employment. Months before that interview I turned down a job offer which came after 6 months of being unemployed and the interviewer could not believe I did not take his low offer since as he put it “after 6 months of no work and unemployment ran out a long time ago,
you must be desperate.”  What did I know?

After working in the corporate world for 20 years, I started my own
family business that is a successful business for the past 20 years. I
have learned how to work with my wife to not only be a happy marriage
partner but successfully be business partners as well which has its own
special requirements that many have not been able to be successful.

There is some basic information that everyone needs to know before
leaving this earth that used to be taught in our schools and in our
homes  and is no longer readily available to the general public but I
want everyone to get “unstuck” and know how to have a successful life.

I cannot teach everyone. I cannot promise fame, fortune or a perfect
life, but if you are humble and you can walk outside and close your
eyes, listen and feel for a minute. You might be the kind of person that
I can help. With your eyes closed, can you feel the wind? Can you feel
it on your face, in your hair, moving your shirt or blouse? Do you hear
it moving and affecting things around you?

Now open your eyes. Do you see the wind? If you can say that you can
believe there are forces that you can feel that are affecting what is
going on around you, that you cannot see, but never the less are real;
then you might be the kind of person I can help get unstuck and be
successful in having an abundant life since that is what you were
created to have: an abundant life.

Life and have it more abundantly no matter what comes your way! This is actually true success.
