Jacquard acid dyes are concentrated, powdered, hot water dyes that produce the most vibrant possible results on protein fibers including alpaca, silk, cashmere, wool, feathers and nylon. Do not be alarmed by the name, the only acid involved is the vinegar that you add. A half ounce bottle will color up to two pounds of fiber depending on the depth of the shade. It's easy to use. In addition to garment dying, you can paint or print with these dyes. Acid Dyes are extremely brilliant and colorfast. They produce a uniform dye job. The colors are beautiful, pure, transparent and luscious enough to dive into. The results and ease of use makes this dye a favorite with our artists/customers.
